So, ano nga ba ang HIV?

We’re leaving stigma station.

In this video, we’ll learn how to strike through the stigma surrounding HIV by correcting a few common misconceptions.

“Nagkaka-HIV lang ang may maraming partners?” Hmm, hindi po. Kahit sinong may isa o maraming partner ang pwedeng mahawaan at makahawa.

“HIV is a disease of gay men.” Strike that. Hindi pinipili ng HIV ang iyong partner. Undetected HIV will be transmitted to whoever your partner is.

“Home remedy is the best remedy.”

Let’s normalize adding HIV testing to our self-care routine!

“Hindi na pwedeng magka-partner ang may HIV.” Wrong answer! You can still have a safe sex life when you’re under treatment and practicing safe sex.

“HIV is untreatable?” To tell you the truth po, HIV can be treated!

So yes, contrary to popular belief, persons living with HIV can treat their condition and live long and healthy lives. Help yourself get tested today po and learn more.
