RH-CARE.INFO is an interactive website aiming to educate and support everyone, old and young alike, about how every individual has the right to make their own choices about their sexual and reproductive health. It is a one-stop information hub from reproductive health care, to visitor stories, rescue resources, and everything in between. Let’s start the tour.
Upon visiting RH-CARE.INFO, the General Data Protection Regulation compliance pops up on screen for first time users. Each program is readily accessible in the homepage with corresponding animations, graphics, and brief descriptions.
Loading a page is greeted by a custom animation in reference to the logo. The quicker your internet speed is, the less you’ll see it.
Selecting each program page will take you to a screen of responsive infographics that you can share through social media. Scrolling down on the Family Planning page, you’ll easily see links to each method that will redirect you to their own information pages. The Learn More section includes links to join the program’s Facebook Group, FAQs, and articles. For anyone wanting to ask specific questions, they can reach out to us through the last section’s Ask Us button. Clicking or tapping on one method’s Learn More button will redirect you to its own responsive infographics page. Let’s visit one.
Each page is one share button away and reads the method’s description, users, procedure, benefits, health facilities, other info links, and the mandatory call to action.
The Health Facilities Locator is a helpful page for those looking for a health facility near their residence or place of work. The searchable services include facilities nationwide for Family Planning, Maternal Services, HIV Treatment Center, Women and Children Protection Units, and D.O.H. Level 3 Adolescent-Friendly Health Facilities. Allowing the page to access your location will automatically list these facilities on the page. Typing the city in the search bar is also an easy option. The results will show the facilities within a 10 kilometer radius from your location. Hovering over the result lets the pinned location bounce on the map. Since this is linked to Google Maps, clicking on it shows the address, linked phone numbers that will let you call directly, and directions.
Joining one of our Facebook Groups will let you in on a private community where you can ask questions and share insights with other members.
FAQs will redirect you to accordion tabs organized by general questions and by each method. Sources for answers are also credited.
Now, each program has its own articles page. Some articles are relevant to more than one program. After reading through the write up, suggested features and Health Facility Locator links can be seen at the bottom of every article.
Share links found at the bottom of the methods page redirect you to Facebook shares.
And as previously mentioned, a call-to-action Talk to Us section is included in every page.
Other mandatory pages are linked in the footer including subscribing to newsletters and joining our health facility list.
Opening the menu is an easy way to see the rest of the programs. Next on the tour is the Maternal Health page. The appearance of the Maternal Health landing page is the same format as the Family Planning landing page. Except instead of family planning methods, maternal care services are what’s focused on.
The Maternal Health articles page is named Baby Bulletin. Each program has its own name for a better insight on each program’s article content.
The Gender-Based Violence page highlights Prevention Information and Response Services. Hotline numbers redirect you to call on mobile phones.
Gender-Based Violence articles talk about reports and submitted personal stories by those who visit the page.
The H.I.V. S.T.I. landing page highlights Prevention, Testing, and Treatment. Fast facts are easy info for readers. Just like the other program pages, H.I.V.S.T.I also has its own page of related articles.
The last program page is for the young people. Highlighted herein are Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health information, Comprehensive Sexuality Education, and Response Services.
Youth News are relevant articles spoken for, by, and with the youth.
Aside from informational pages we toured, RH-CARE.INFO also homes a campaign that lets visitors contribute to the site.
#MayKwentoAko is created to be a safe virtual space for productive discussions. Seeing it’s time we break the taboo around sexual and reproductive health, May Kwento Ako starts that convo. Visitors can choose to submit their stories to be posted. Approved stories sent are being compiled in articles and uploaded on social media, all embedded on this page. There is an overwhelming feedback on this campaign as submissions are piling up everyday since its launch in May 2020.
The more people tell their stories, the more we can help spread awareness.
