Self-care means more than checked out skincare products and scheduled me-times. It doesn’t start and end with pamper me days that give us this sense of relief from stresses that greet on us the daily. But what it is, also includes knowing about our bodies and giving it what it needs. An overlooked subject? Reproductive health care and overall sexual wellness.
The checklist jots down HIV testing, knowing about birth control options, learning about consent, and every taboo topic in between. These things aren’t talked about publicly on the daily, but these are basic things that complete our self care routines.
