The ABCs of Consent by @rhcareinfo

We think it’d be easy to hear a Yes or No
or a Wait, I’m not ready, I don’t think so.
But 𝐀 is for 𝐀nswers, ones we should respect
in words or actions, direct or indirect.

𝐁 is for 𝐁ody, ours and theirs
Note that intimacy is a time to be fair
Intoxication and stealthing are crimes to consent
as all involved should be aware and present.

Consideration and communication are lovely things
Your body is yours from first kisses to wedding rings

𝐂lothing is not consent, as obvious as it should be,
is still a relevant statement to fill the AB-𝐂.
What we dress to dance, to sleep, to work
is a fashion statement, not an invite for a jerk.

Let people enjoy their blue jeans and bikinis
as much as we enjoy our cocktail martini.
Give kind compliments, not catcalls on the street
because smiles, not fears, make the outfit complete.
